Hazards due to improper earth / ground happen around us everyday. Systems are becoming more and more complex and faults in any system are unavoidable. Every electrical equipment, appliance or network must be properly earthed to allow a low resistance path for dissipation of leakage current into the earth. The Motwane Digital Earth Clamp Tester Model DECT-2 measures earth/ground resistance using clamp-on technology. This meter is a useful addition to the more traditional methods of earth/ground resistance testing that may require disconnection and the use of stakes or ground rods. Simply clamp around the conductor or stake/rod and measure the resistance to ground fast and accurately.

Earth Ground loop resistance measurements for commercial, industrial, and utility applications

The clamp-on ground testing technique used by the Fluke 1630 simplifies ground loop testing and enables non-intrusive leakage current measurement. The compact and rugged design makes the Fluke 1630 easy to use in small places and harsh environ- ments, while the “Display-Hold” and the continuity test- ing with an audible alarm function, ensures convenience in use.
